Over 793,000 Disqualified in Nigeria's Paramilitary Recruitment

The recent paramilitary recruitment exercise in Nigeria has seen 793,858 applicants disqualified. The Civil Defence Correctional Fire Immigration Service Board (CDCFIB) released detailed statistics indicating that out of 1,120,491 applicants who completed the process, 432,935 had incomplete applications, while 360,923 were disqualified during the shortlist phase.

The recruitment attracted a total of 1.8 million applicants across various paramilitary agencies, including the Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Correctional Service Board. The performance data from the computer-based test (CBT) showed that 221,996 candidates scored between 0-40, 229,155 scored between 41-60, 278,543 scored between 61-80, and 142,697 scored between 81-100.

The majority of candidates fell within the 61-80 score range, indicating average performance. The next phase will involve physical screening and document verification, with candidates expected to receive notifications regarding the screening venue and required documents.
