Eight Workers Rescued from Collapsed Lagos Building, Gas Odor Concerns Addressed

Eight male construction workers have been rescued alive from a collapsed building at 333 Borno Way, Alagomeji, Lagos State. The Lagos State Fire Rescue Service led the emergency response, successfully pulling the workers from the debris.

The rescue efforts, which involved multiple agencies, ensured that all trapped workers were accounted for. Additionally, concerns about a gas odor in the Ikeja area were addressed, with the Fire Rescue Service reassuring the public that it was due to a routine exercise by Axxela Group, the parent company of Gaslink.

The agency emphasized that there was no danger to the public and advised residents to continue their activities without fear.
