NABTEB Reports 81.24% Pass Rate in 2026 Exams

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) announced that 81.24% of candidates from the June/July 2026 examinations obtained five credits, including English Language and Mathematics. At a press briefing on September 2, 2026, Dr Mohammed Aminu Mohammed, the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, revealed that 79,504 out of 97,867 candidates who sat for the exams achieved this milestone.

This performance marks an increase from the May/June 2025 examinations, where 68.18% of candidates obtained five credits. A total of 100,069 candidates registered for the 2026 examinations, reflecting a growing interest in business and technical education.

The examinations were conducted nationwide from June 15 to July 13, 2026, across 2,144 centers. Additionally, 24,128 candidates were certified as craftsmen.

However, 847 candidates were reported for examination malpractice, which involved 1,554 incidences, representing 1.55% of those who sat for the exams.
