92-Year-Old Paul Biya Wins Cameroon Election Amid Fraud Claims

Paul Biya, at 92, has been declared the winner of Cameroon's presidential election, securing his eighth term in office. The opposition candidate, Issa Tchiroma, rejected the results citing fraud, leading to tensions and clashes in Douala.

Four people were killed in the violence, with several security personnel injured. Governor Samuel Dieudonn Ivaha Diboua confirmed the casualties.

Biya, who has ruled Cameroon since 1982, faces challenges to his legitimacy amidst allegations of electoral malpractice.
