952 ASPs Promoted To DSP As PSC Declines Promotion Of 176 Others

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has promoted 952 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), while declining the promotion of 176 others for various reasons. The decision was made during the first plenary meeting of the 6th Board of the commission, chaired by PSC Chairman Argungu.

The newly promoted officers were urged to uphold the spirit of nationalism and respect for the law, with a warning that unauthorized actions by serving officers would no longer be tolerated. The commission assured officers that their career progression would not be hindered as long as they followed established channels to address grievances.

Some of the officers promoted include Elvina Ochia Chukwu, Kyrian Igwe, and Ndidiamaka Onwude.
