Oba Ajibade Ogunoye III Celebrates 60th Birthday in Owo

Oba Ajibade Ogunoye III, the 32nd paramount ruler of the Owo Kingdom in Ondo State, celebrated his 60th birthday on July 6, 2026. His ascension to the throne in 2019 was notable for promoting peace and unity, amidst historical rivalries.

Ogunoye III has a distinguished background, having spent a decade in Ondo State's civil service, where he rose to the position of Permanent Secretary and served as Director of Finance. He holds a law degree and a Master’s in Public Administration from Adekunle Ajasin University, qualifying him as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

His reign has seen the revival of cultural festivals, such as the Igogo Ulabi Festival, enhancing tourism in Owo. The diamond jubilee celebration attracted dignitaries and fellow monarchs from across Nigeria, recognizing his unique blend of civil service discipline and cultural revitalization.
