Eunic Sanyaolu's Artistic Breakthrough on January 7

Eunic Olarenwaju Sanyaolu, known for her floral design, experienced a pivotal moment on January 7, coinciding with the Feast of the Epiphany. After relocating to the US on June 12 of the previous year, she returned from Nigeria, where she had promised her daughter, Iyunoluwa, to explore her artistic potential.

Sanyaolu, who lives in Maryland's Prince George's County, began painting after years of focusing on floral arrangements. On January 7, she took a canvas and brush, leading to an unexpected creative flow that she described as beautiful and instinctive.

Despite lacking formal training in painting, she applied her knowledge from floral design to her artwork, allowing her to balance colors and textures effectively. This shift in her artistic expression was gradual, and she found herself completing multiple canvases, indicating a newfound equilibrium in her creative process.
