Omo-Aje Urges INEC and Security for Credible Elections

Adekunle Omo-Aje, the presidential candidate of the Action Alliance, called on political parties, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and security agencies to maintain the integrity of the 2027 general elections. His remarks followed the signing of the National Peace Accord in Abuja on Tuesday, which he described as a commitment to uphold the electoral process's integrity.

Omo-Aje urged adherence to the accord's terms, advocating for campaigns free from thuggery, hate speech, and incitement. He emphasized that INEC must ensure that every Nigerian's vote counts and provide a level playing field for all parties.

Omo-Aje also called for professionalism from security agencies to protect lives and property during the elections, warning against their use for voter intimidation or favoritism. The signing ceremony, held at the International Conference Centre, included notable figures such as President Bola Tinubu, represented by George Akume, and Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.

Other political party representatives also signed the accord.
