Oyebamiji Calls for Peaceful Governorship Election in Osun

Bola Oyebamiji, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, called on the state government and security agencies to ensure a peaceful, free, and fair governorship election. Speaking in Lagos, he highlighted the APC's commitment to non-violence and urged authorities to prevent a recurrence of election-related unrest, referencing the reported deaths of about 25 individuals during the 2022 election.

Oyebamiji claimed that buses painted in APC colors were misused by criminals to implicate the party and alleged that members of another political party were involved in criminal activities. He expressed confidence in the APC's grassroots support and outlined his economic agenda, promising a comprehensive audit of the state's finances if elected.

Oyebamiji also pledged to uphold local government autonomy and expressed optimism about his electoral prospects, noting that both he and the incumbent governor hail from Osun West Senatorial District. Hon. Oluwole Oke, the Director-General of the AMBO Campaign Organisation, called for neutrality from INEC and security agencies.
