Abaribe, Oshiomhole, Akpoti to be Honored at 2026 Awards

The 2026 National Legislative Awards will honor prominent lawmakers, including Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Senator Adam Oshiomhole, and Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan, among others. The event is scheduled to take place on July 9 in Abuja and is organized by Hallowmac Africa in partnership with the Nigerian Conference of Speakers.

The selection process involved public online voting and consultations with parliamentary stakeholders, ensuring transparency and rigor. Categories for the awards include Outstanding Lawmaker from the National Assembly, with nominees from various geopolitical zones.

Notable recipients include Senator Chike Okafor from the South East and Senator Inombek Awaji Abiant from the South South. The awards will also recognize outstanding speakers from state houses of assembly and parliamentary staff.

The ceremony will be chaired by former Senate President Ameh Ebute, with attendance expected from Senate President Godswil Akpabio and other dignitaries.
