Prof. Oby Orogbu Wins ‘Legislator of the Year’ Award

Prof. Oby Orogbu, the Member representing Awka North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, was honored with the ‘Legislator of the Year’ award during the fifth edition of the Anambra Man of the Year awards held on Saturday at the Stanel Dome in Awka.

The event celebrated excellence, leadership, and significant contributions to society, gathering distinguished personalities from across Anambra State. In her speech, Orogbu expressed that the award was not just a personal accolade but a reflection of the collective journey with her constituents towards progress and development.

She acknowledged the support of the award organizers, particularly Prof. Adaoma Igwedibia, and dedicated the award to the people of her constituency, stating that their mandate and support motivate her.

Orogbu affirmed her commitment to continue her work, saying, “From chalk to chamber, my journey continues,” and emphasized that the recognition would inspire her to achieve more for her constituents.
