AbdulRazaq Presents APC Candidate to Emir of Ilorin

On a courtesy visit to the Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq introduced Yakubu Danladi Salihu as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 elections. During the visit, which took place at the Emir's palace in Ilorin, AbdulRazaq congratulated the Emir on the appointment of Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki as the 13th Chief Imam of Ilorin, describing the appointment as a significant development for the Muslim community in Ilorin.

The governor sought the Emir's royal blessings for Salihu ahead of the upcoming elections, emphasizing the importance of traditional endorsement to strengthen grassroots acceptance. This visit comes amid increasing political tension within the APC in Kwara State, with concerns raised by a group of 10 APC governorship aspirants about the party's internal crisis and the risk of weakening its electoral base if urgent interventions are not made before the 2027 elections.
