Chief Eric Opah Wins Abia APC Governorship Primary

The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Chief Eric Opah on his emergence as the governorship candidate following the party's primary election conducted across 184 wards in the state. The primary took place on Thursday, with Chief Opah securing a total of 125,977 votes, significantly defeating his closest rival, Chief Henri Ikechukwu Ikoh, who garnered 5,905 votes.

A statement from the party's public secretary, Uch Aguoru, commended the aspirants for their faith in the electoral process and acknowledged the commitment of stakeholders to a peaceful, transparent, and credible primary election. The APC expressed confidence in Chief Eric Opah's leadership capacity, vision, and experience, which they believe are essential for leading the party to victory in the 2027 general elections and returning the party to the government house in Umuahia.

The party urged its members to remain united and committed to working collectively towards achieving their leadership goals for the people of Abia State.
