Abia APC Zones 2027 Governorship Ticket to Central District

The Abia State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially announced the zoning of its governorship ticket for the upcoming 2027 elections to the Abia Central Senatorial District. This decision was communicated through a statement issued by Uch Aguoru, the party's public secretary, on Thursday.

The zoning arrangement is intended to guide members who are prospective aspirants in purchasing nomination forms. The APC emphasized its commitment to balanced representation across the three senatorial districts of Abia State, following a rotational arrangement that has been in place since the return to democracy in 1999.

The party noted that Abia North and Abia South have previously produced governors, thus making it equitable for Abia Central to present the next governor on the APC platform. The state chairman of the party, Chijiok Chukwu Kalu, urged all aspirants and stakeholders to respect this decision in the spirit of sportsmanship and unity as the elections approach.
