Onuigbo Challenges APC Primary Vote Allocations in Abia

Sam Onuigbo, a former two-term member of the House of Representatives, is contesting the vote allocations from the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Abia Central senatorial ticket. He stated that the announced figures of 36,935 votes, 11,457 votes, and 5,833 votes for three aspirants are questionable, especially since no election reportedly took place in several wards across six local government areas in Abia Central.

Onuigbo emphasized that the number of votes reported is implausible given the total membership of APC in the district. He also criticized the APC's National Working Committee for not addressing the alleged discrepancies and expressed concern over the damage to the party's image.

Nkechi Nwaogu, a ranking member of the Senate, also voiced her dissatisfaction, noting that there was no official conduct of the primary in Osisioma Ngwa Ward 2. Onuigbo called for a thorough investigation into the primary process to restore the party's integrity.
