Abia State Governor's Wife Supports Vulnerable Groups Including Albinos and HIV/AIDS Patients

The Abia State Governor's wife, Priscilla Otti Nwosu, has extended support to vulnerable groups in Abia State, including people with albinism, HIV/AIDS patients, and sickle cell warriors. Through a donation of bags of rice and cash totaling N50,000, the initiative seeks to provide essential support to these marginalized communities.

Mrs. Otti Nwosu emphasized the unique challenges faced by people with albinism, such as skin-related health risks, and highlighted the need for attention, care, and dignity for all vulnerable groups.

The Abia State Government, under Governor Alex Otti's administration, is committed to combining infrastructure development with strong social protection policies to ensure progress that includes vulnerable populations. The Director-General of the Abia State Agency for Control of AIDS (ABSACA), Dr.

Uloaku Emma, expressed appreciation for the support and described the leadership's commitment to health-driven poverty alleviation and social protection. The Commission for Women Affairs, represented by Mr.

Ngozi Felix and Dr. Maureen Aghukwa, also commended the initiative.
