Abia Christian leaders call for united front against corruption, injustice

Christian leaders from different denominations in Abia State have come together to call for a united front against corruption, injustice, and spiritual complacency in the country. The call was made during the Christian Citizenship Summit 2025 in Aba on August 21.

In a communiqué, the leaders emphasized the moral responsibility of the Church and the need to take a stand against societal decay. They urged for the establishment of a Christian Citizenship coalition to promote civic discipleship and train believers to take on leadership roles in various sectors.

The leaders also called for collaboration with the Nigerian diaspora to strengthen efforts and urged citizens to embrace civic responsibility. Governor Alex Otti, represented by a Special Adviser, encouraged Christians to be agents of positive change in society.

Pastor Emmanuel Ihim challenged Christians to courageously confront corruption, injustice, and moral decline.
