COSEYL Congratulates Dr. Maduekwe as NEWMAP Coordinator

The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) congratulated Dr. Nkiruka Chidia Maduekwe on her recent appointment as the state project coordinator for the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) in Abia State.

In a statement issued by the president, Comrade Goodluck Ibem, COSEYL recognized Dr. Maduekwe's professional competence and dedication to environmental sustainability.

The coalition highlighted the significant role of her leadership during a critical period marked by environmental challenges such as erosion, land degradation, and climate change, which threaten lives and infrastructure in Abia State. They commended Governor Dr.

Alex Otti for appointing a seasoned technocrat to oversee this vital project, demonstrating visionary leadership and commitment to sustainable development. COSEYL expressed confidence that Dr.

Maduekwe's tenure would bring innovative impacts to the outcomes of NEWMAP in Abia State and called on government agencies, community leaders, and civil society groups to provide full support for the successful implementation of the project.
