Abia Government to Revive Moribund Industries in Aba for Economic Growth

The Abia State government has announced plans to revive four moribund industries in Aba, including Afro Beverages, Aba Textile Mills, International Equitable Association, and Ken Biscuits. Commissioner of Information Okey Kanu revealed this after an executive council meeting chaired by Governor Alex Otti in Umuahia.

The government aims to revitalize these companies to create job opportunities, boost internally generated revenue, and drive economic growth in the state. Kanu emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring these industries become operational and contribute significantly to the state's development.

The government has also received approval from the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria to revitalize the Star Paper Mill in the town.
