Abia LP Chairman Promises Fair Primaries for 2027 Elections

Peter Azubuik, the Labour Party chairman for Abia State, assured aspirants of fair opportunities in the upcoming primaries for the 2027 elections during an interview with newsmen following a party congress in Umuahia on Saturday. Azubuik stated that the party aims to present the best candidates and will not compromise on this principle.

He expressed confidence that every aspirant would be given a fair chance to emerge as a candidate. Azubuik also mentioned that the party would begin to engage more vigorously with the public to consolidate its presence across the state.

He acknowledged the efforts of the current governor, Dr. Alex Otti, in making the party's work easier and emphasized the need for unity and strength within the party.

Azubuik refuted allegations regarding the automatic granting of tickets to certain candidates and assured that the party would determine the mode of primaries in due course.
