Abia State Collaborates with NCRIB to Boost Insurance Awareness

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has initiated a partnership with the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) to boost insurance awareness in the state.

During a visit by the NCRIB President, Mr. Ekeoma Ezeibe, Otti disclosed the formation of a committee to work on creating awareness about insurance in Abia State.

Otti highlighted the importance of involving younger professionals in the insurance sector and expressed support for the Nigerian Insurance Industry Reform Act 2025. The collaboration aims to implement sustainable insurance awareness initiatives in Abia State, with a focus on job creation, investment, and consumer protection.

The CEO retreat held in Abia State emphasized the significance of compulsory insurance laws in promoting economic growth and enhancing social welfare. The partnership seeks to leverage insurance as a vital tool for safeguarding public assets, encouraging investments, and strengthening the social contract between the government and citizens.
