Abia PDP Candidate Anosike Promises N90,000 Minimum Wage

Dr. Kelechi Anosike, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, has committed to establishing a minimum wage of N90,000 for workers if he wins the election in 2027. He stated that Abia workers are among the most disadvantaged in Nigeria, with many still receiving N50,000 to N60,000 despite the federal government's N70,000 minimum wage benchmark.

Anosike emphasized the need for a people-centric administration focused on restoring the dignity of the workforce. He also highlighted that wage increases must be accompanied by measures to alleviate the high cost of living, particularly in healthcare.

Anosike criticized the arbitrary dismissal of civil servants and pledged to adhere to retirement rules. He expressed concern over the poor working conditions of Magistrates and directors in Abia, promising to improve their situation.

His administration aims to create a motivated workforce and ensure that government serves the people effectively.
