Ogere Remo Celebrates 50 Years of Founder’s Day in 2026

The 50th anniversary of the Ogere Remo Founder’s Day, also referred to as ‘Lipakala Day’, is scheduled for October 17, 2026. This significant event will gather residents, corporate leaders, and political figures to honor Ogere Remo's cultural heritage and development journey.

Notable attendees include Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), and Honourable Oladipupo Adebutu, both serving as special guests of honor. Dr Victor Alonge, the immediate past president of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, will chair the occasion, which aims to raise N2.5 billion for infrastructural development.

The royal fathers of the day are Oba Babatunde Ajayi and Oba (Dr) Kehinde Olugbenle. The Ologere of Ogere, Oba James Obafemi Saliu, emphasized the importance of this golden jubilee in promoting unity and preserving the town's cultural identity.

The celebration invites all indigenes and friends of Ogere Remo to participate in this historic occasion.
