Dapo Abiodun Named Consensus Candidate for Ogun East

Dapo Abiodun, the current Governor of Ogun State, has emerged as the consensus candidate for the Ogun East senatorial district in the 2027 elections, receiving significant backing from stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This formal endorsement occurred during a meeting on April 20, where leaders from the district unanimously supported Abiodun's candidacy, emphasizing the need for quality representation and party unity.

The decision was communicated by the chairman of APC Ogun East, Dr. Adelek Ogundoyin, who urged the state leadership to forward Abiodun's name to the national secretariat as the party's flag bearer.

In response, Abiodun expressed gratitude to the stakeholders for their confidence in him, promising not to betray their trust and to work towards attracting development to the area.
