Babcock University Graduates 665 Postgraduates, Abiodun Speaks

On [date not specified], Babcock University in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, held its 15th convocation ceremony, graduating 665 postgraduate students. The breakdown included 70 Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) graduates, 391 Master’s degree holders, 21 Master of Philosophy (MPhil) graduates, and 183 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) graduates.

Dapo Abiodun, the Ogun State Governor and Commencement Speaker, presented awards to outstanding students, including N2 million each to Christianah Ojelabi and Ibitola Osikomaiya for achieving a perfect CGPA of 5.0, and N1.5 million to Juliet Idume-David for a CGPA of 4.84. Deborah Segun-Adeniran received N2.5 million for being the best PhD graduate with a CGPA of 4.95.

Abiodun emphasized the importance of ethical leadership in the age of Artificial Intelligence, stating that while technology can process information rapidly, it cannot replace moral responsibility, compassion, or ethical judgment. He described the convocation theme, ‘Breaking New Ground’, as a call for graduates to embrace new responsibilities in society.
