Ogun Governor Abiodun Awards N11 Million to Graduates

On Tuesday, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun presented a total of N11 million to the best graduating students of Babcock University during the institution's 15th postgraduate convocation ceremony held in Ilishan Remo. The governor conferred degrees, including Doctor of Philosophy, and urged graduates to pursue lives of integrity, innovation, and service.

He warned that education without character poses a danger to society and emphasized that graduates should reject mediocrity and embrace innovation. Abiodun announced a commitment to educational reforms in Ogun State, including the recruitment of 6,000 teachers and the rehabilitation of schools.

He pledged N2 million to the overall best graduating student in the Master's category and N2.5 million to the overall best Doctor of Philosophy graduate. Prof. Afolarin Ojewol, Vice Chancellor of Babcock University, encouraged graduates to view their degrees as a beginning of greater responsibilities.
