Abuja Court Dismisses Criminal Case Against Actress Lizzy Anjorin, Fines Complainant ₦50,000

The Federal Capital Territory Chief Magistrate Court in Abuja dismissed a criminal defamation case filed against actress Elizabeth Aishat Anjorin, known as Lizzy Anjorin. The case was brought by Abdullahi Adebimpe Mosadoluwa and his wife over allegations related to property development.

The court ruled that the complaint lacked merit and was not properly filed. The complainant was fined ₦50,000 for the improper legal action.

The court highlighted procedural defects and jurisdictional issues, leading to the case being struck out. Earlier reports claiming Anjorin's arrest and defamation were debunked.

Fellow Nollywood stars like Iyabo Ojo and Dayo Amusa had shared misinformation on social media. Anjorin's bail conditions were set to be reviewed following the court's decision.
