Dr. Yunusa Tanko Alleges Election Result Manipulation

Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the national coordinator of the Obidi Movement and a candidate from the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expressed concerns regarding the recent area council elections held in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

He claimed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) failed to announce results from specific areas, particularly Gwarinpa, Garki, and Karu, where he was reportedly leading. Tanko noted that results were ready by 9 PM on Saturday but were not disclosed for reasons he deemed alarming.

He urged the Nigerian public to respect the electoral process and called for immediate action to announce the results, emphasizing that the situation reflects a broader issue of electoral manipulation. He accused the government of using money and influence to suppress the announcement of results, stating that he does not care about the reasons behind the delay, but simply wants the correct election results to be announced.
