INEC Delays Kuje Area Council Election Results Announcement

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has delayed the announcement of the Kuje Area Council election results due to incomplete results from two wards. Abubakar Dambo, the resident electoral commissioner for Kuje Area Council, explained that the collection process was hindered by initial errors and slow returns at the INEC office.

As of now, results from five councils in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have been concluded. The APC candidates have emerged victorious in several areas: Joshua Ishaku won Bwari with 18,466 votes, Christoph Maikalangu secured Abuja Municipal with 40,295 votes, Umar Abdullahi Abubakar won Abaji with 15,536 votes, and Nuhu Daniel was declared the winner in Kwali with 17,032 votes.

The PDP candidate, Moham Kasim, won in Gwagwalada with 22,165 votes, defeating his APC rival.
