LG Launches Smart Dehumidifier for Nigerian Homes

On April 29, 2026, LG Electronics unveiled its innovative dual inverter dehumidifier with an ionizer in Abuja, Nigeria. The launch was highlighted by Mr.

Paul Mba, Head of Corporate Marketing at LG Electronics, who noted the dehumidifier's capacity to remove 30 liters of moisture daily, equivalent to extracting water from hundreds of standard bottles. This product is designed to address the persistent humidity issues faced in Nigerian cities, utilizing LG's dual inverter compressor technology to intelligently adjust operations based on real-time humidity levels, ensuring effective moisture control while minimizing energy consumption.

The dehumidifier operates quietly at 33 decibels, making it suitable for bedrooms and offices. Two models were launched: the 34L DD20GMWE1 and the 28L MD16GQWE0.

Additional features include remote control via LG ThinQ technology and a design that prioritizes convenience. Mr.

Moustafa Khari, Abuja Branch Manager of Fouani Nigeria Ltd, indicated a growing demand for such products to improve indoor comfort, especially during the rainy season.
