Pastor Omakwu Appeals to Wike Over Jabi Lake Land

Sarah Omakwu, the Senior Pastor of Family Worship Centre Abuja, made a heartfelt appeal to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, regarding the Jabi Lake recreational area. In a video shared on her Instagram page, Omakwu was seen kneeling at the pulpit, urging Wike not to allocate the land for private development.

She expressed concerns about the potential loss of public access to the area, which serves as a vital space for exercise, social gatherings, and community events. Omakwu highlighted the importance of preserving Jabi Lake as a public space for all citizens, particularly in light of past developments in Abuja that have restricted access to key areas.

Despite her appeal, she commended Wike for ongoing infrastructure developments in the Federal Capital Territory, including the construction of highways that improve accessibility. Omakwu's plea was made in the name of God, emphasizing the need for the land to remain accessible to everyone.
