Wike Critiques Pastor Omakwu's Appeal Over Jabi Lake

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), responded to a public appeal made by Pastor Sarah Omakwu of the Family Worship Centre in Abuja. Omakwu had knelt to beg for the reconsideration of the allocation of the Jabi Lake recreational area for private development, which she shared in a video on her Instagram page.

During a monthly press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday, Wike stated that he would not carry out his duties based on emotional appeals. He emphasized that Omakwu's appeal was not a confrontation against the FCT Ministry but rather a plea made out of concern for the country.

Wike's comments reflect his stance on maintaining the integrity of his responsibilities as a minister without succumbing to emotional pressures.
