Abuja Pastor Remanded for Alleged Rape of Minor

On Thursday, the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Gwarimpa, Abuja, ordered the remand of 39-year-old pastor Amo Isah, founder of Victori Voice Fire Ministry, over allegations of raping a 14-year-old church member. Justice Modup Osho Adebiyi directed that Isah be remanded pending the submission of records related to a previous bail grant.

Isah has pleaded not guilty to eight counts, which include allegations of rape, sexual exploitation, coercion, emotional and psychological abuse, and gross indecency. The prosecution claims that Isah allegedly lured the teenager, identified as B.Z.J., into the church's newly constructed auditorium on May 26, 2025, where he forcibly engaged in sexual intercourse with her without consent.

The charges also state that Isah threatened to kill a family member if the victim disclosed the incident and provided her with 3,000 Naira for medical expenses. The case has been adjourned until June 30, 2026, for further hearing.
