Pastor Arrested for Allegedly Defiling Minor in Abuja

A pastor was apprehended by the Nasarawa State Police Command at the Karshi division headquarters for allegedly defiling a girl. The arrest occurred following a complaint lodged on April 18, 2026.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect deceived the victim's aunt by claiming that the girl needed to cleanse a river. Instead, he took the girl to a hotel in New Karshi, where he allegedly committed unlawful carnal knowledge twice.

The pastor further threatened to kill the girl if she disclosed the incident. The victim's guardian noticed unusual changes in her behavior, prompting further inquiry.

The girl was subsequently taken for a medical examination, which confirmed penile penetration. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the offense and pleaded for leniency.
