Pastor Amo Isah Remanded Over Alleged Rape of Minor

The Federal Capital Territory High Court in Gwarimpa, Abuja, has ordered the remand of 39-year-old pastor Amo Isah, founder of Prophet Victoria Voice Fire Ministry, following allegations of raping a 14-year-old female church member. Justice Modup Osho Adebiyi directed that Isah be kept in custody pending the submission of his previous bail record.

Isah faces eight charges, including rape under the Child's Right Act of 2003, sexual exploitation, coercion, emotional and psychological abuse, and gross indecency. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The prosecution alleges that Isah lured the victim to the church's newly constructed auditorium and forcibly engaged in sexual intercourse without her consent. The charge sheet indicates that Isah reportedly gave the victim 3,000 Naira to purchase medication following the incident and allegedly threatened to kill her entire family if she disclosed the assault.

The court has adjourned the matter until June 30, 2026, for continued hearing.
