Pastor Accused of Rape on Church Altar in Anambra

In Anambra State, a victim has recounted a harrowing experience of being raped by Pastor Dozi Ezani on the altar of his church during a deliverance session. The victim stated that she was brought to the church by her aunt, who claimed she needed special deliverance.

After arriving at the church, the pastor allegedly made advances towards her while she was asleep in his room. Despite her attempts to resist, the pastor overpowered her after she became weak from hunger, as he did not provide her with food.

The incident reportedly occurred during a session intended for spiritual intervention. The pastor later admitted to misconduct, attributing his actions to being influenced by the devil.

Following the incident, security operatives arrested the pastor, who was subsequently transferred to the state criminal investigation department in Awka. The victim has appealed for justice, stating that she was not entirely at fault as she was promised medical coverage.
