Wike Urges Abuja Contractors to Meet Tinubu's Deadline

On Wednesday, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), directed contractors handling key infrastructure projects across Abuja to meet the agreed deadlines in preparation for President Bola Tinubu’s third anniversary. During an inspection tour of ongoing projects, including the Jahi-Gwarimpa interchange, airport road, Kuje corridor, Gwagwalada road, city gate project, and Wuse central area link road, Wike expressed satisfaction with the quality of work, noting that he expects projects to reach 95% completion within two weeks.

However, he cautioned that while he is confident in the quality of the work, he remains concerned about the timely delivery, particularly regarding bridge sections. Wike specifically mentioned the airport road project at Kuje junction, which is being executed by Arab Contractors, and expressed confidence that it would be completed within the week, aiming for a wrap-up by the end of May.
