Wike Credits Tinubu for FCT Infrastructure Success

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), stated that the support from President Bola Tinubu and his insistence on timely project delivery are key factors driving the successes in infrastructure development within the territory. During an inspection of ongoing projects in Abuja on Wednesday, Wike highlighted Tinubu's close monitoring of project implementation, which reflects a strong commitment to providing quality services to FCT residents.

He noted that without the President's support, completing jobs on time and to expected quality standards would be challenging. Wike specifically mentioned the progress on the arterial roads, including the S1 Ring Road II and a fire service station in Kaura District.

He expressed hope that projects would be completed within the next five months. Wike also inspected the construction of two student hostels, one for males and one for females, and expressed satisfaction with the female hostel's scheduled completion in November, while acknowledging some concerns about the contractor's performance.
