Abuja Property Dispute: Dialogue Urged for Resolution

A property dispute in Maitama District, Abuja, has been ongoing for five years, involving two flats located at No. 1 Mekong Close. Comrad Temitop Olubunmi Joseph of the Africa Centre for Good Governance has urged the parties involved to embrace dialogue and seek reconciliation rather than continue litigation, which he argues is unproductive and a waste of resources.

Victor Giwa, representing Cecil Osakw, has been involved in the case, which has seen accusations against Nigerian Police Force officer Edith Erhunmuus for illegal eviction of occupants. Justice Samira Batur of the Federal Capital Territory High Court recently issued a warrant for Giwa's arrest.

The case includes nine counts against Erhunmuus, with allegations of criminal conduct and property damage estimated at N300 million. The parties are encouraged to resolve their issues amicably, with notable interventions from senior advocates Dr.

Ahmad Raji and Mr. Joe Agi to help reconcile the matter.
