Court Orders Compliance in Apo Resettlement Market Dispute

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, sitting in Maitama District, has issued a warning to parties involved in the Apo Resettlement Market dispute to comply with a stop work order. This order was originally issued on April 15, 2025, and directed Dr.

Shuaibu Musari, the first defendant representing Manillah Integr Partner Ltd, and AMAC Invest Develop Company, the second defendant, to halt construction activities pending the resolution of a substantive suit. Reports indicate that Manillah Integr Partner Ltd and AMAC Invest Develop Company allegedly continued construction despite the court's order, leading Dr.

Shuaibu Musari to initiate contempt proceedings. During the proceedings, Justice Yusuf Halilu expressed concern over the repeated disobedience of the court's interlocutory injunction.

The court emphasized that its orders remain binding regardless of any appeals. The matter has been adjourned to June 1, 2025, for further proceedings, with the court warning that any disobedience could result in serious sanctions.
