Abuja to Host 2026 All African Challenge Trophy

Abuja is set to host the 2026 All African Challenge Trophy (AACT) from November 1-7, 2026, at the IBB International Golf Country Club. This premier tournament will bring together elite golfers from 40 countries, aiming to promote excellence and unity across the continent.

Dr. Lami Onayi Ahm, President of the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria, emphasized that the AACT transcends competition and serves as a platform for African unity and global visibility.

She expressed confidence in Nigeria's ability to host the event successfully, highlighting the nation's achievements in sports. President Bola Tinubu is expected to officiate the opening ceremony, which will celebrate women's sports.

Mr. Ekanem Ekwuem, Trustee of West Central Africa, praised Nigeria for securing the hosting rights, marking the third time the country will host the championship, following previous editions in 1996 and 2010.
