Abuja Woman Arrested for Allegedly Killing Newborn Son

Precious Yohanna, a 27-year-old woman, has been arrested by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command for the alleged killing of her newborn son in the Jabi area of Abuja. The incident was uncovered on October 4, 2026, when residents found the lifeless body of a male infant abandoned in a bush.
The police received a distress call around 10:30 PM, leading operatives from the Jabi Police Division to the scene. Upon examination, the baby was found with severe injuries to the throat and abdomen and was later confirmed dead at a nearby hospital.
