Access Holdings and Coronation Group Celebrate Nigerian Modernism

Access Holdings and Coronation Group commemorated World Art Day by partnering with Tate Modern for a landmark virtual session titled "Conversations: Osei Bonsu Inside Nigerian Modernism." The event, held on April 15, 2023, focused on the global significance of Nigerian modern art and the commitment to democratizing access to art. Ngozi Akinyel, Chief Communications Officer of Coronation Group, emphasized the enduring value of art in shaping society and recognized it as a true wealth of nations, which can be categorized into financial, cultural, and intellectual capital.

Aigboj Aig Imoukhued, Chairman of Access Holdings and Coronation Group, discussed the importance of cultural capital in building a prosperous society. Osei Bonsu noted that Nigerian modern art is distinct from European modernism, rooted in Nigeria's rich ethnic diversity.

Amaechi Okobi, Chief Communications Officer of Access Holdings, reaffirmed the importance of the collaboration with Tate Modern in advancing African narratives on the global stage.
