Access Holdings Plc submitted a formal notice to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on July 31, 2026, addressing a false and malicious publication circulating on social media. The publication falsely claimed that Access Bank Plc, a subsidiary of Access Holdings, would cease banking operations.

The Company stated that the publication was not issued or authorised by Access Holdings Plc or Access Bank Plc. Access Holdings confirmed that Access Bank remains fully operational, safe and well-capitalised, and that there has been no change to the operations or financial condition of either Access Bank Plc or Access Holdings Plc.

The Company disclosed that the matter has been referred to relevant regulatory, security and law enforcement authorities, and that steps are being taken to identify those responsible for originating and disseminating the false publication.

The notice was signed by Sunday Ekwochi, Company Secretary, by order of the Board. Access Holdings directed shareholders, customers and the investing public to rely only on information released through official channels, including its NGX filings, corporate website and the investors' portal at theaccesscorporation.com/investor-relations.
