Access Bank Dismisses Shutdown Rumors, Assures Stability

Access Bank Plc has officially dismissed rumors circulating on social media that it is shutting down, labeling these reports as false and misleading. In a statement released on X on Thursday, the bank reassured customers, partners, and stakeholders of its financial strength and uninterrupted operations across all subsidiaries.

Access Bank emphasized that the claims of an impending shutdown are entirely unfounded and urged the public to disregard them. The bank is actively working with relevant regulatory and law enforcement agencies to identify the individuals responsible for spreading this misinformation, stating that appropriate legal action will be pursued under the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) (Amendment) Act, 2024.

Access Bank reminded customers to ignore any misleading messages and to rely solely on information disseminated through its official and verified communication channels.
