Accord Party Alerts Police on Osun Motor Park Violence

The Osun State chapter of the Accord Party has raised concerns regarding an alleged plan to reignite violence in motor parks across the state. The party called on the Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, to intervene, citing a factional leadership crisis within the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

Accord State Chairman, Pastor Victor Akande, specifically accused NURTW leader Musiliu Akinsanya, known as MC Oluomo, and certain members of the All Progressives Congress of attempting to assert control over the parks despite a government suspension of union activities. This situation follows the return of Kazeem Oyewale, also known as Asiri Eniba, to the NURTW headquarters in Osogbo, which could undermine the government's proposed Park Management System initiated by Governor Ademola Adeleke after the killing of Accord chieftain Olalekan Oyeyemi.

The party urged President Bola Tinubu and the police to caution those involved and enforce the government's directive to prevent further violence.
