Osun Government Warns Against Fresh Crisis Plans

The Osun State Government has alleged that certain stakeholders are planning to instigate new crises across local government areas and motor parks in the state. This claim was made in a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, on Sunday.

The government warned against any disruption of public peace, emphasizing that Osun is currently focused on post-election reconciliation and peace-building. The statement expressed condolences to victims of pre-election violence and called for healing and a return to peaceful coexistence among residents.

The government expressed concern over reports of plans to reignite conflict and urged that such actions cease immediately for the sake of public peace. It reiterated that the recent elections have concluded, and both the President and the Governor have agreed on a peaceful path forward.

The government also called on security agencies to uphold the rule of law and end perceived partisan policing, particularly regarding local government and motor park management.
