Accord Party Denounces Killing of Leader’s Son in Osun

The Accord Party has condemned the killing of Kolad Eluyera, the son of a party leader, in Osun State, describing the incident as a politically motivated act of barbarism. Maxwel Mgbuden, the national chairman of the Accord Party, alleged that political thugs associated with the All Progressives Congress (APC) were responsible for the murder, which took place near Onireke Mosque in Ikir.

The party expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and vowed that his death would not be in vain. They called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the killing and insisted that security agencies ensure the safety of citizens during the electoral period.

The Accord Party accused the APC of harassing its members and destroying campaign materials. They reaffirmed their support for Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and expressed confidence in his re-election for a second term on August 15, 2026.

The party urged residents to reject violence and protect their votes, emphasizing the importance of credible and transparent elections.
