ACF Condemns Recent Attacks, Warns of Anarchy in Nigeria

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has condemned the recent wave of attacks across Nigeria, particularly highlighting incidents in Borno State and Plateau State. In a statement issued by the forum's National Public Secretary, Prof.

Tukur Muhammad Baba, concerns were raised regarding earlier attacks in Katsina, Kwara, Niger, and Zamfara states. A bomb blast in Maiduguri on Monday resulted in several fatalities and injuries.

The ACF described these attacks as tragic and characterized them as dastardly and evil. They extended condolences to the victims and emphasized the need for government and security agencies to confront the pervasive insecurity problem urgently.

The forum warned that unless decisive measures are taken, Nigeria risks a catastrophic danger and a slide into widespread anarchy. They called for a total overhaul of the national security strategy and urged authorities to demonstrate an uncompromising political will to tackle terrorism, insurgency, and banditry.
