ACF Urges Action on Insecurity and Peaceful Prayers for Easter

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) issued a statement during the Easter celebration, calling for decisive action on the escalating insecurity in Nigeria, especially in the northern regions. Tukur Muhammad Baba, the forum's spokesperson, highlighted the worsening socio-economic and security challenges faced by Nigerians, particularly in Northern Nigeria, where communities continue to suffer from violence, displacement, and destruction of livelihoods due to the activities of armed groups and criminal elements.

Despite these challenges, the ACF commended the resilience of Nigerians and expressed optimism for a peaceful and prosperous future. The forum urged Christian citizens to remain law-abiding and engage in prayers for peace, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in addressing national issues.

Additionally, the ACF called on security agencies to reinvigorate efforts to tackle insecurity across the country and advocated for sustained action against terrorism and criminal activities, while addressing the underlying factors contributing to insecurity.
